Jon Erickson is a Rhode Island native who now makes his home in Savannah, Georgia. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, he started working for a local stained glass company, Aurora Stained Glass. He spent 20 years working for Aurora and eventually bought the business in 2007. His work is featured in religious institutions, yachts, museums, restaurants, magazines, books, and homes.
"Loose and spontaneous, Jon Erickson brings his skills with a personal touch and a modern eye to the ancient craft of stained glass. His work in opalescent glass - semiopaque glass with integral color made famous by Louis Comfort Tiffany - is as breathtaking as his painted work." From creating inspiring glass art, Erickson has proven that there are no boundaries to his knowledge and skill in the world of glass art. He quotes, "Whatever techniques you learn, you should make them your own and find your own artistic voice."
Examples of his work span the globe from Savannah all the way to Asia and can be seen on this website.
